Mission Control – We have A Problem!!

There I was, handcuffed by my arms and ankles to the wall onboard my space ship, along with my crew who just so happened to be  my husband, my daughter, my brother and his girlfriend, Air, rapidly depleting.

But how were we going to escape?

Well that was the name of the game, and so it has been for many people over the past year or so as escape rooms take over and everyone wants a go.

So if you havent encountered an escape room before, the general jist is,  you are given your mission, whether you are on a pirate ship, in a space shuttle, with the mafia, you must race against time to escape. Or the consequences will be catastrophic!!

Completing a series of puzzles or riddles, you will find clues which will enable to eventually unlock the door and escape.

We recently failed miserably at the Mission Liberte escape rooms in Mont Tremblant Canada. They have a great choice of rooms to pick from, and having never completed an escape room before we went for difficulty level 8 out of 10, probably should have gone for 4-6 but in for a penny in for a pound hey, We did very well and within our allotted hour we managed to get down to the last clue and almost made it out. Until they unlocked the door and told us we actually had about another 3 or 4 puzzles to solve until we got out!!

So with these escape rooms being all the craze, Royal Caribbean have jumped on the band wagon and will be adding one to Independence of the Seas when she comes back from her revamp in May 2018. This will be an amazing and popular new feature I would say. I just hope the booking system works to allow for all those that want a go. As of yet, it hasnt been released onto the cruise personaliser so I would say bookings only on board likely.

So if you are off on Independence of the Seas this year, Enjoy 🙂 and good Luck
