MSC cruises own a piece of Paradise

To Improve another Caribbean Island there is MSC with the transformation of an island which was used as an industrial sand extraction site. This means MSC will have their own piece of the Caribbean

The island will provide a retreat for guests onboard MSC cruises which will stop for a day. Guests can enjoy the Bahamian sand and beach peacefully with all the facilities they need for a relaxing stay just a few steps away with no need to keep going back and forth from the ship. There will be a range of activities to cater to guests who want to do more than just relaxing. This is planned carefully in the MSC project to allow guest a unique experience. The Island will be ready in just one year and the work has already started but more information about the experience will be revealed in a few months

What we know is to improve the island for the private getaway MSC instructed planting of more than 75,000 native shrubs and plants, as well as 60 types of indigenous trees,  grasses, flowers and shrubs.

MSC cruises have planned to build 100 structures that will include bars, restaurants and houses for staff, employing 140 members of staff to run the Island

With the re-creation of seabeds around the Island, there will be a return marine life such as lobsters, conchs, stingrays and other fish which will have a great natural impact on the project.

A shallow water lagoon will be created in the centre of the island for families to relax in and a marine laboratory will research climate change-resistant coral in hopes of providing insights to a similar island
