A journey on the Azamara Quest

So I’m back in my office after being rewarded with a two nights fam trip on the Azamara Quest. A 5 star cruise line. From the moment I stepped on board I knew she was going to be beautiful and she did not disappoint. She is relaxed but elegant with a modern twist and she is tastefully decorated making her looking stunning.

She is a baby compared to some of the large ships out there. She is only 30.000 tons and can accommodate 710 guests at full capacity plus 410 crew members with 1.2 staff to guest ratio

The ship was refurbished recently and has been brightened throughout. Colours throughout the ship are now light and subtle with some accents of mahogany wood. The rooms are delightful with beige accents and enough storage space for a weeks or two cruise.

In not into carpets but the carpets throughout the ship are beautiful and the patterns are rather unique. It feels so nice to walk on them that you are tempted to take your shoes off. I haven’t seen patterns like these anywhere else, they definitely grab your attention.

The ship features a spa and the jim are right next to one another. Ideal for a couple wanting to take time out whilst one spend time on the running machine overlooking the sea and the other is being pampered in the spa. The spa uses a variety of brands of luxury product, one of these is Elemis which i love.

On deck is the pool with two whirlpools, ideal to use on a cold day if the water is steaming hot. Beside there is a handy bar and some lazy double sized sun loungers where you can enjoy the sea view and totally relax reading a book

The only smoking area is in the corner of this deck with comfortable wicker garden furniture and coffee tables complete with warm blankets for chilly evenings.

My favourite spot was the living room where you could spend some quiet time sipping a drink, chatting, just reading or playing a game during the day. At night time this is the place to be with a DJ and a dance floor and a busy bar. The music is varied and it’s generally good taste.

As with most 5 star cruise lines the drinks are included, this includes wine by the glass, beer, certain spirits and soft drinks.

I tasted some fantastic food! I had a delicious lamb stew on the first day from the buffet restaurant. In the main restaurant all the dishes were nicely presented and cooked to perfection. Nice cuts of meet were available from the menu at the main restaurant. My favourite has to be the rib eye and T-bone steak both available on different evenings as well as a good choice of fish dishes, pasta and vegetarian dishes.

My overall impression was 5/5 and would not hesitate to go on it again!

So a huge thank you to Cruise.co.uk & Azamara for allowing me to sample the ship first hand.

And now I am an Azamara expert, I can’t wait to answer any queries and look after your bookings for you very soon!!
