Ventura here we come…………

We’re heading off on the Ventura this week on a 4 night mini cruise with a day in Bruges and an overnight in Amsterdam. Very excited, I’ve been to both ports but Mark has not been to either. He’s looking forward to seeing if the famous Red light area still exists, only so he can take a photo by the canal with the glow from a bedroom window in the background, ha ha.

I first went on board the Ventura when she launched, I was lucky enough to win a cabin so I took my Mom and Dad along on their first cruise. They loved it. I’m looking forward to see how much she has changed.

I’ve  received mixed reviews recently on P&O in general, mainly being that the food standards have slipped and overall cleanliness has not been great, so it will be interesting to see what we find. I’ll have my ship inspection head on and iphone on hand to get some good pics and videos.

We’ve booked a Deluxe Balcony so we’ve got plenty of room to chill out should we wish and chose a cabin on C Deck to give us a big balcony to swing our cat on. I’m looking forward to the Canapes and Marks more interested in the complimentary use of the binoculars so he can go tanker spotting, and the say Woman are from Venus, Men are from Mars!!!!!

We’ve hidden the suitcases in the spare room away from our chocolate Labrador, Fred so he dosen’t have a dog meltdown before we go, he’ll be safely tucked down at my Mom and Dads with the lure of treats before he’s even realised we’re on the motorway.

Well our check-in is a 3pm and it’s 8:15am so I best get packing and I’ll let you know how we get on next time…….
