Quantum of the seas

Royal Caribbean newest ship Quantum of the seas arrived in Southampton on the 29/10/14 from Germany. The ship will then go to Cape liberty, Bayonne, New Jersey on the 10/11/14, where it will be christened. And then she will be based full time in Shanghai from May 2015.

This new ship of Royal Caribbean’s is 167,800 and hold’s 4,180 passengers, Quantum will introduce a new set of first-at-sea onboard experiences, such as Ripcord by iFLY, an indoor skydiving experience; North Star, a pod on top of the ship; and SeaPlex, the largest indoor sports and entertainment complex at sea with bumper cars, roller skating and more. Quantum will also host the first Jamie’s Italian restaurant at sea.

The ship launches a new class for Royal Caribbean it’s 2090 cabins include 373 Virtual Balconies. it will be followed by Anthem of the seas in April 2015, which will spend its season in the uk then it will be Ovation of the seas which will launch next year.

The things that Royal Caribbean have brought out on these new ships are fantastic and I just can’t wait to go and experience  the many things that they have to offer, both ships look amazing and I can’t wait to sample to the Robot’s that make your cocktails for you.

Think I will have to get saving or wait a couple of years till the prices to come on these new ships, but it will be worth the wait. Do you think the cruise lines are making there ships to big and too much to do on board or do you think that these new designs are good and will get more people cruising?  Please let me know you thoughts and tell me if you have booked your next cruise on one of these ships.
