Child Prices

I have had many customer’s complaining about the child prices on cruise ships. Do you think the child prices are too high? I do, I have an example,  a customer had a infant at only 2 years old and wanted to go on a P&O cruise from Barbados to Malaga the price that P&O were offering was fantastic but the infant/child price was not much cheaper than the adult price.Now would that child at 2 years old be eating the food would they be using the facilities I don’t think so, so why would the child have to pay that much?

Now I know other holidays if you have a child under 2 years go for between £30.00 to £60.00 now I know people wouldn’t mind paying that I wouldn’t, and that is going long haul or short haul. So why do cruise companies like to charge so much and why do they charge so much?

I would like to know your thoughts on this do you think that Cruise companies charge too much and does this stop you from experience a cruise due to this fact, please let me know your thoughts on this subject.
