Tulips from Amsterdam

amst

If you have even been to Amsterdam in the spring time you will know just how beautiful it is with all the Tulips.

I have only ever travelled to Amsterdam in the winter time, but with so many amazing river cruise offers to the area continuing along the Rhine there is no excuse!

Cruise in luxury on this 5* cruise line offering ultra all-inclusive travelling late April 2015 for a fantastic price.

You pay £2395 for the first passenger and the second person travels for free!

This includes, a lovely cabin with a window, home to airport pick up by car (within a 70 mile radius of the airport), flights, resort transfers, full board and complementary drinks, all port taxes, gratuities and excursions are included as per your itinerary!

The old city is formed with a number of canal rings which is easy to walk through the canal streets or for a more relaxing experience take a trip on a boat by boarding one of the tourist cruises. This is what we did and it was fantastic! Shame about the weather! It was a bit wet but will be brilliant in the sunshine!

There are plenty of other sights too. If you like museums there are plenty to enjoy. Rijksmuseum is the most visited with a great collection of paintings a sculptures and home to the famous ‘The night Watch’ by Rembrandt. There is also the Van Gogh Museum which has over 200 paintings combined with hundreds of letters and sketches by Van Gogh.

The first time I visited Amsterdam we visited Anne Frank’s House. I remember how small the rooms were and was amazed that 2 families were hiding out for over 2 years. The house has an exhibition and home to the famous diary that Anne wrote during World War.
