Ovation of the seas is in Southampton!
The latest addition to the Royal Caribbean fleet arrived into Southampton this week looking rather beautiful and very big! The quantum class ship is the 1st of 2 ships launching this year so exciting times ahead for Royal Caribbean fans.
The Ovation of the seas will complete her 1st sailing on Thursday 14 April where guests will be enjoying a mini cruise and hopefully a lovely taster to this amazing ship.
The ship has 18 decks of fun, entertainment and 17 dining experiences!
There is an outdoor movie screen, plenty of bars and cafes to visit, 2 flow riders which are a simulated surf park, a rip cord and the amazing views can be experienced from the North Star. I hadn’t realised that the North Star went as high as this, 300m above sea level is very high. Wow the views must be spectacular!
Not to be missed… here are my recommendations of what you should have on your visiting list..
Bumper cars. They look so much fun! Reminds me of the fun fair when I was a little girl!
Bionic bar. Where else can you get a robot to make you a delicious cocktail?
Wonderland restaurant. It is a little pricy at $50pp I still think if you are a little adventurous with your menu and like something a little different this restaurant is perfect! You will come out feeling like you have been on the set of a movie!
Rock climbing wall. 43 feet making it one of the largest at sea.
Adults only solarium. After all the above you will need a well-deserved rest and the solarium is perfect. Plenty of places to relax and enjoy a cocktail!
Great news for fans of the Quantum class ships. We are not sure when but a Quantum class ship will be returning to Southampton for a whole season in the near future. I wonder when it will be. Is this great news for us Brits?
