A massive part of your cruise experience is the dining. Meeting new people, the staff in the restaurant and enjoying the wonderful menus on offer.
I love the fine dining and having lots of choice! Trying something new or something you would not normally try is all part of your cruising holiday.
So many ships have many choices of restaurants too.
When I cruised on the NCL Epic there were over 15 restaurants to choose from and we even dined in the Cirque Dreams tent which was an amazing show including magic and acrobatics. It was fantastic!
There was even more choices on the Harmony of the seas. Being the largest ship there is so many dining options. I loved the restaurants in the central park. The setting was fantastic amongst all the greenery!
Recently Princess cruises have taken a new approach by asking their regular guest what they would like to see on the menus in the restaurants and bars on-board their Crown Princess sailing out of the UK for the summer season.
They wanted home favourites and the list is brilliant!
Roast diner, fish and chips and curry nights came out on-top! Who can say they don’t enjoy these favourites? I certainly do!
You also liked the sound of traditional pub lunches like Lancashire hot pot and pasties.
The list also extended to afternoon tea. This is one of my guilty pleasures especially with glass of bubbly! I am sure this will be an option to upgrade!
I took my mum for afternoon tea for her 70th birthday at the ilton in Manchester. It was fantastic! a little pricy so to experience this for free on a cruise is a must. Princess are introducing afternoon tea to enjoy on the sea days. Bet it will be busy!
What food would you add to the menu?
I tried the pizza and real lemonade on the Royal Princess – delicious!
There will also be a wider variety of beers on-board and special events like the tennis during Wimbledon, will be celebrated with strawberries and Pimms. Lovely!
