Have Thomson cruises got it just right?

Have Thomson cruises got it just right?

My 1st cruise was on the Thomson Celebration over 15 years ago. I had a brilliant time and was most impressed with the food, service and entertainment. Thomson really know how to entertain the British! The cabins were on the small side and the vibration in bed was a little off putting, but all that aside the value for money is fantastic.

Thomson have just launched a new ship, the TUI Discovery 2. This follows the TUI Discovery which has been in operation since last June.

The TUI Discovery 2 was previously a Royal Caribbean ship so facilities include movie screen on the top deck beside the pool, rock climbing wall, mini golf and plenty of restaurants and bars to enjoy.

The new TUI Discovery 2 will be home to 1800 passengers and 771 crew members. During the summer the cruises will be 7 night sailing from Malaga. You can also back to back to make a 14 night cruise or even add 3 or 4 nights in Malaga dependant on flight availability. I forget just how beautiful Malaga is!

September it is time to move on to the Canary islands and then to Jamaica in December for a lovely itinerary round the Caribbean visiting Cuba, Belize, Columbia and Costa Rica

The flights offered are fantastic. They offer up to 17 different airport so flying from your local airport got a lot easier.

Both TUI Discovery and Discovery 2 offer an all-inclusive package as standard in the package which includes beers, selected wines, spirits and cocktails, prosecco and cider. This is such a great benefit and has become very popular as we do like our all-inclusive holidays.

Even tips are taken care of.

I do hope that Thomson watch their pricing, especially for cruises in 2018. They seem a little pricy. I compared a Thomson against Royal Caribbean and would you believe Royal were cheaper?

I guess the drinks and tips do mean you will pay more for the package. You would still expect to pay less for a Thomson cruise.

Have you taken a Thomson cruise?

What did you think?

Have you cruised on the new ships? Is it good value?

I would love to hear what you think
