Harmony of the seas – Heaven or Hell?

How lovely has the weather been? It is so lovely to be able to get the paddling pool out and enjoy some time in the sun!

With the holiday season in full swing let hope the weather continues!

I have recently returned from a 2 night taster cruise on the Harmony of the seas. It was brilliant! The ship is fantastic! So many things to do, you don’t even need to leave the ship! But the Harmony of the seas has had a few teething problems.

You reported on recent reviews that some of the pools and the slides were closed, there were big queues for activities and restaurants and the staff were grumpy and complained about being overworked. Others were overwhelmed by how fantastic the ship was and did not have any complaints.

Have you recently returned from a trip on the Harmony of the seas?

Was it heaven or hell?

Should we expect some teething problems on a brand new ship?

Royal Caribbean have recently issued cruise credits for customers who travelled on the 1st couple of cruises so at least they recognise the issues on-board.

My favourite things about the ship is the amount of space and areas you can experience.

The Central park is beautiful and wandering into the bars, restaurants and shops is like being a holiday resort! You can sit out and enjoy a cocktail and relax in the atmosphere of the gardens.

The rising Tide bar is located in the Central park. Hop on and enjoy a drink while the bar lowers 3 decks to the Royal Promenade!

This was amazing especially in the evening when the live bands were playing. We get the perfect view!

Unless you were in one of the bars or restaurants there are few places to sit down along the Royal Promenade. I guess that is the purpose. Wander along enjoying the atmosphere. I would have put some cosy benches or sofas at each end so you can take a break!

The Boardwalk is like walking back in time. I loved Jonny Rockets the 50’s themed burger bar. Singing waiters as diners entered and left was just fantastic! Burgers were great too and the onion ring (and the milkshakes!)

The Carousel is also a lovely touch.

Slide down the Abyss which starts on the top deck and finishes on the Boardwalk. They did have to close the Abyss while I was on-board so I missed out. Looked fantastic too.

Are you due to cruise on the Harmony of the seas?

What are you most looking forward to?

Thanks for reading and enjoy the sunshine!

Love Rosie xx
