The Great Adventure

Ben Fogle has put together a selection of brand new once in a lifetime shore excursions for Celebrity Cruises 2015  European programme.

He is known for being an adventurer, writer, broadcaster and author and travels the world experiencing exciting destinations beyond the usual tourist attractions.

This is sure to be a success especially to seasoned travellers who have been there and done it with the usual tours on offer and are now looking for something else to excite them .

I have spoken to many people over the years and I often have people say that they are only booking this cruise because they love the ship and fancy getting away for a while but have been to all of the ports and done all the excursions so will probably just stay on board when the ship is in port.

Celebrity have recognised this and are now able to offer these exclusive trips .

Here is an idea of some of excursions you will be able to book :

Norwegian Salmon snorkelling safari – available in Norway

You’ll be kitted out in survival suit, mask and snorkel for the ultimate aqueous adventure – a Laksesafari® Salmon Safari along the picturesque Suldalslågen River. Squeeze past huge stones on the shimmering riverbed, dive into deep pools and be guided further downstream as salmon come at you from every angle.

Archipelago Adventure – available in Sweden

The sea is calling on this energetic adventure that combines cultural heritage and nature. Beginning with a speedy RIB boat ride through the Stockholm archipelago, the second largest in the Baltic Sea, you’ll then stop off for refreshments at the charming island of Grindo. Then it’s off for a guided kayaking tour before returning to the pier by RIB boat.

Croatian Adventure

An active yet relaxing way to discover the best of Croatia, begin your day with a bike ride from Radovcici to the pretty seaside village of Molunat. Famed for its sandy beaches, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a swim before a thrilling RIB boat ride to Cavtat followed by some kayaking and local lunch with a view.

In addition to this they are now offering 60% more overnight stays in port so you can truly get to experience a port of call without having to be back on board in the afternoon. This is becoming far more popular especially in ports such as Venice and Istanbul.

There will be 3 themed cruises for next including the Cannes Film Festival, Redentore Festival and the British Open.

With a new price promise for bookings made before the 30th April 2014 for departures in 2015/2016 there has never been a better time to book.

So if you fancy mixing with the stars in Cannes or Salmon snorkelling in Norway please give me a call and I will be happy to discuss with you further
