National cruise week

It is national cruise week this week which means it is a very busy week for us in the cruise industry. What this means for you is that there are plenty of bargains to be had.

The cruise lines are all competing for business during this period and the savings to you can be in the form of on board credits, free parking or straightforward discounts.

So if you are in the process of looking for a cruise now is probably the best time to book.

I say probably because of course we can never guarantee that a better deal won’t come up in the future but even if it does it will probably have lots of restrictions so it isn’t always as good as it seems.

I would say the best deal we have by far this week is with MSC

They are offering a 7 night cruise on the Fantasia class ship Splendida for £429.00pp.

This price not only includes flights and transfers but also a free cheers drinks package which is unlimited drinks at lunch and dinner in the main restaurants and buffet.

I can honestly say I haven’t seen a deal as good as this for a long time and not surprisingly this is selling quick. This price is based on the 14^th December or the 11^th January but they have other dates available for a small supplement until March 2015.

If you haven’t tried MSC before but have wondering whether to why not give it a go while the price is so low, you don’t have much to lose. I cruised with them last year for the first time and was more than impressed. Don’t go on board expecting a formal cruise equivalent to Cunard and you won’t be disappointed. The ships are stunning and the crew are so friendly and helpful. It was much more relaxed than other cruises I have experienced.

Royal Caribbean have extended their all inclusive promotion until the end of cruise week and are also giving on board credit so not only will have your drinks and gratuities paid for but you will have a bit of extra spending money to spoil yourself in the spa or maybe book an excursion ?
