Is 40 the new 30 ?

Unfortunately I am about to turn 40 but I can honestly say I don’t feel any different to when I was in my 20’s and 30’s apart from being a bit more tired than I used to, although I think that is having children rather than a few more years on the clock.

They say that 40 is the new 30 but I am not so sure about that either , I think you are as old as you feel so I don’t intend changing my lifestyle and retiring early to bed just yet.

As it is also my husband’s 40th birthday we went on a cruise with MSC last month to celebrate . The cruise was fantastic and we were even blessed with lots of sunshine even though it was the end of October. I did write about this on a previos blog

So have now just had a night out with friends and family. We went to the comedy club in Leicester on Saturday where we live.

I thought this would be a good choice as it suits all ages so we could all enjoy the comedians and when the disco started our parents left us all to it.

We had a really fun evening and I am just about recovered now.

Apparently everyone was hoping we would go on a mini cruise for our birthdays so I am now in the process of arranging a group booking for next year so I guess that will be a post 40th birthday party for all of us.

Our children were disappointed that we were not having a party and couldn’t come with us for our night out so we are taking them away this weekend to celebrate with them.

Maybe turning 40 isn’t too bad after all !!
