This week was my daughters 7th birthday party and she decided she wanted to have a karaoke party at home. My first thought was great this is going to save me a fortune quickly followed by the dread of having 18 children running riot round my house !!

Luckily we are preparing to decorate so I wasn’t too worried about the mess but it was trying to keep them entertained that was my main concern.

In the past we have hired venues and had anything from bouncy castles to magicians and disco’s so all I have had to do is arrange party bags and provide the food.

It was actually really good fun though as we did all of the usual games like musical bumps and pass the parcel then when they had finished eating it moved on to karaoke.

It was much more relaxed and my older daughter helped with the games and music.

This is a picture of Georgia with her 2 best friends looking fare from angelic !!

It hasn’t actually saved me much money though because we decided to book tickets to take them to see footloose at the theatre next week because the party hadn’t cost much but at least that is something we can all enjoy.

Now I am looking forward to a week off to spend with my girls before they go back to school. The summer holidays seem to have flown by and we will soon be back to the usual routine.
