Tea & Coffee, the key to a British Cruisers happiness…

It always makes me smile when I think of how much a cup of tea or coffee means to many British people. Why do we have so much of an obsession with having a “cuppa” or a “brew”? British cruise lines already know this and include tea and coffee making facilities in the cabin for people to make themselves a hot drink.

Other non-British cruise lines now have been trying to win over British passengers by also including these in-cabin drink making facilities on their ex-UK sailings. I know MSC have certainly been doing this for the last couple of years and now The Sapphire Princess from Princess Cruises will be the latest to have these facilities added.

“”We fully appreciate how much Brits all enjoy drinking tea and coffee”, said Tony Roberts, Princess Cruises’ vice president, UK and Europe, in a statement. “While it’s still easy enough for guests to order complimentary hot drinks via room service or our onboard restaurants, introducing kettles will give them an extra coffee and tea-making option when it’s time to rise and shine or they’re sitting back and relaxing in their stateroom or balcony.”

I should imagine this will just be for the Summer of 2018 and 2019 sailings from Southampton but it is nice to see cruise lines making an effort to add this.
