Passengers of Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises will no doubt be rejoicing at the change of tipping policy.

It has now been confirmed that passengers will not have to pre-pay their gratuities if they wish to take the flexible dining option.

Surprised to read that a baby has just been born on the QM2

I just stumbled across an article from the New York Post reporting that a baby boy was recently born on-board. I was quite surprised to hear this had happened due to Cunard’s rules on pregnancy and some of the quotes written in the article.

Fred Olsen Braemar comes to the rescue

The Fred Olsen Braemar will have made the Christmases of two Polish passengers and two crew of a small sailing yacht on the 27th December 2015 as she came to their aid whilst being stranded in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.

A Massive thanks to Fred Olsen after our conference on Balmoral

Last week we had our 2015 Cruise.co annual conference. This was held on a 3 night cruise on the Fred Olsen Balmoral which included an overnight stop in Bruges.

The conference was great in so many aspects, catching up with other members of staff, lots of interesting and entertaining presentations from cruise lines and company management including a very inspirational guest speaker and the experience of the cruise itself.

Norwegian Cruise line now offering Free Ultimate Beverage package with Inside Cabins

I really like Norwegian Cruise line and the Freestyle type of cruise that they offer.  Although they don’t have a strict dress code or dining policy the quality of the ships, dining and entertainment is certainly as good as the competition in my opinion.

Great trip to ABTA Conference 2015 with Fred Olsen

Last month my colleague David and myself were lucky enough to be invited to attend the ABTA conference as we were kindly hosted by Fred Olsen cruise lines.

Our group are all above, sporting our Fred Olsen polo shirts. There were some really nice people in our group and I do find the people from Fred Olsen are genuine, friendly and down to earth.

I’ve just returned from the MSC Fantasia

I have just returned from a 7 night cruise on the MSC Fantasia.  The cruise was a Western Med cruise from Genoa to Genoa.

This is the largest most modern style of ship that MSC offer and I was interested to see how it compared the the Armonia that I had sailed on previously with MSC which is smaller and of an older design type.

Carnival Corporation have just announced that their 10 brands which include P&O, Cunard, Princess, Holland America, Carnival and Costa have been or soon will be fitted with a new satellite communication system that will drastically improve their data connections at sea.

Norwegian Cruise line now will not accept pre-paid gratuities being removed on-board

I read an article today saying that Norwegian cruise line will now no longer be allowing passengers to remove or change their daily service charges (that is if they haven’t already paid them upfront).
