On Board With Alison

What no ginger nuts!

Having a sort out the other day I came across a genuine list of guests’ complaints to a very well known high street travel agency I spent many years working for.

It made me chuckle and I hope you do too….

1. “I think it should be explained in the brochure that the local store does not sell proper biscuits like ginger nuts.”

2. “It’s lazy of the local shopkeepers to close in the afternoons. I often need to buy things during siesta time.”

3. “On my holiday to Goa in India, I was disgusted to find that almost every restaurant served curry. I don’t like spicy food.”

4. There was no egg slicer in my apartment.

5. We booked an excursion to a water park but no-one told us to bring swimwear and towels.”

6. A woman claimed she was locked in by staff after mistaking the “do not disturb” sign on the back of the door  as a warning to stay in the room.

7. “The beach was too sandy.”

8. “We found the sand was not like the sand in the brochure. The picture showed yellow sand and it was white.”

9. “Topless sunbathing on the beach should be banned as it distracted my husband.”

10. “It took us nine hours to fly home from Jamaica and it only took the Americans three hours.”

Yes……….scarily they are real complaints from real holiday makers!!!

I’ll dig out a few more for next week.
