On Board With Alison

Even The Plates Are Versace!!

I just spent a very nice day in Barcelona visiting the beautiful Regent Seven Seas Navigator.

That’s me on the left!

After a very early flight out we transferred to the port and boarded this little gem. Navigator is all-suite ship taking only 490 passengers.

Regent Seven Seas are six-star cruise ships and are all inclusive. All inclusive in this case means free flights and transfers, which is even free business class on certain sailings. All dining, including the speciality restaurants is in the price as are all drinks including fine wines and premium brand spirits and this is throughout the day, not just at mealtimes, and even includes your mini-bar.

Two extras that usually add on to your holiday spend are gratuities and excursions and guess what…they are also in the package.

The ship is beautiful and the staff on board are very attentive and friendly. There is a very high crew to passenger ratio and a very high repeat passenger percentage and it’s very easy to see why!

Brilliance of the Seas behind us!

Ventura in front…A busy port!

All suites are beautifully decorated with everything you could want in there.

We started with a tour of the ship and finished off our all-too-quick visit with a delicious 5 course lunch served in the main restaurant Compass Rose. What a shame, I had driven to the airport for my flight and so could only sample a token glass of the wine on offer.

They really are Versace!

After lunch we sadly had to leave the ship and headed off to Museo Nacional D’Art De Catalunya on a hilltop overlooking Barcelona for a very interesting tour behind the scenes showing how ancient artwork is rescued and restored  and stored. A very welcome drink in the rooftop open air bar gave us a stunning end to our day in Spain.

Can you spot the roof top bar in the picture?

Thank you Regent for a fun day out and a brief insight into this luxury cruiseline and YES…they really are Versace!
