Worst Hurricane Season ever

I know we are all aware of the horrendous devastation caused by not just Irma but closely followed by Maria and Jose. Our heart goes out to the locals effected and we cannot comprehend what they have had to suffer.

However tourism brings in millions of pounds, dollars and contributes to their lives on a massive scale with jobs from local shop keepers to tour guides. So we may all feel the Caribbean is a no go at the moment but they need us.

The Walt Disney Company has donated $2.5 million to aid all effected and will help to fund recovery efforts of the American Red Cross, Unicef, Save The Children and other non-profit organisations.

With the first day of Autumn today, the Caribbean season is just about to start. P & O, Royal Caribbean and Celebrity to name but a few will be repositioning their ships Azura, Britannia, Eclipse, Independence and Navigator out there from the end of October. It this early stage it is the Eastern Caribbean that seems to have been hit the hardest with ports of call such as the ever popular St. Maarten, Tortola and St. Thomas the worst.

Royal Caribbean will replace St. Thomas with St. Croix on Adventures of the Seas and St. Kitts on Allure and Harmony. Just until some sort of order is in place. It as not been confirm how long this will take raising fears of o
