Celebrity Reflection, well ???

Well where did those 11 nights go. Time passes so quickly when you are having fun as they say. Yes we most certainly did. Even John who said he would never cruise and would feel like he was on a glorified ferry !!!

After a pre night in Civitavecchia in the lovely San Giorgio a charming 4 star hotel right next to the port but right on the sea front and a very relaxing start to the holiday we boarded the beautiful Celebrity Reflection a Solstice Class Ship. She carries 2850 guests so small in compare to some these days but we felt perfect for what we wanted. Check in was fine and we were in our cabin within 20 minutes of leaving the hotel.

We have sailed on Equinox previously and found Reflection very similar. The Glass blowing area had been replaced with a lovely little Grill for lunches and snacks (charge did apply) called the Lawn Club. The Porch served up breakfasts and then had a Mediterranean feel in the evening. Both venues were at the side of the green lawn which had a private area that could be booked for the day and included the use of a cabana and lunch within the Lawn Club.

Our main port of call was the Sunset Bar at the Aft of the ship. This was our meeting place for afternoon cocktails, wines and beers and an amazing place to chill and catch up after a busy day on land. (that is another day)
.

We started our days with either a visit to the main dining room or even room service and enjoyed a good hot selection on our extended balcony, which was massive. We were in a 1A on deck 6 clear view.

There were lots of areas on board to explore some very busy some so tranquil it was hard to believe you were on a ship. The Library and the Hideaway were just off the main atrium and were good to just sit and chill..

The evenings really came to life with live entertainment in many areas from a 70’s party night to a silent disco in the solarium. Celebrity did not let us down with the quality of the shows in the main Theatre either West End productions to comedy and acrobatics.

We eat most evenings at 8pm in the Opus Dining Room and were looked after so well. I do know this was not the case for everyone, we were very luck to have the waiters we had. Food was served hot and excellent standard and very good portion sizes too. We did not try the Speciality dining this time as we did have friends that were a wee bit fussy and did not fancy anything on the mention, it was a wee bit expensive if they would not enjoy it. The Ocean View Cafe was amazing. So much choice and never too crowded if you picked your times right.

I will tell you about the ports of call next time.
