Here at cruise.co.uk we are always looking forward to new ways of cruising. We have been offering garden themed cruises for over 30 years. Whether we combine these with Cruise & Maritime, River cruise line, Regent, Cunard and Fred Olsen these garden cruises are extremely popular.

Well, it has been over 12 years since I have visited the ‘Big Apple’. That time was with 30 friends to celebrate a friends 30th Birthday. The weekend was quite a fuzzy one as you could appreciate and I didn’t really take in the fact that I was actually in New York.

This is a question we get asked as agents many times. What are the price of drinks on board?
Now different cruise lines offer different packages. It really depends on how much you drink and I hate asking that question. It sounds like i’m saying my clients like one too many. Many cruise lines like Royal Caribbean and Celebrity are offering ‘free drinks package’ but only on ocean view cabins or higher. I believe they add the price of the drinks package into the cruise cost ( so it covers their costs )

Cruising is not for everyone I know. However if you were famous would you confine yourself to a 2000 passenger ship sailing to amazing ports of call?
Ed Sheeran recently took over part of the Queen Mary 2 sailing from New York to Southampton. In typical Ed Sheeran style he rocked up at Brooklyn terminal and asked for the cheapest cabin going. Not that he cant afford a Queens Grill though, however his friend with whom he was travelling with did not like flying.

I have just returned from a fantastic little voyage on Fred Olsen Boudicca. The ship is an old build ship and was built in 1973 and was called the Royal Viking Sky for the Royal Viking cruise company. In 2005 the ship was sold to Fred Olsen cruise lines.

P&O have announced that their small ship Adonia is to return to their 2017/2018 season. The ship was much loved by the P&O faithful and when she left the fleet to help with humanitarian work overseas there was a big hole to fill as many of the P&O fleet are larger ships and P&O were losing some of their passengers to cruise & Maritime and Fred Olsen.

Queen Mary…..no not the Queen Mary 2 before anyone tries to call me to cancel their booking. The old Queen Mary has been reported to be one of the most haunted ships that was on the seas.
