My Celebrity experience 11 years on

I have recently returned off a two night mini cruise on Celebrity Eclipse.  This was my first time I have been on a Celebrity ship since leaving their employment as a shop manager.  I was intrigued to see what it was like on board.

Now we were booked with the drinks package included and I did notice that there were no pool staff bar tenders walking around the pool so we had to visit the bar every time we wanted a drink.  This is unusual as every ship I have been on always have the pool bar waiters walking around.  If this was a ploy because the cruise was all inclusive then Celebrity really need to look at this and get more waiter staff on the Lido/Pool deck.

Ok rant over.  I was in Royal Suite number 1612.  I know it looks spectacular and t was.  We had a whirlpool Jacuzzi on the balcony and one in the bathroom too.  The Suite sleeps up to 4 people and the sofa can be made into a bed. Our Butler ‘George’ was very accommodating and couldn’t do enough for us, whether taking shirts to iron to delivering fresh lime for our beer.

Celebrity’s numbering of their cabins is a little weird I thought,  I was in suite 1612, but there was not a deck 16 on the ship.  I can normally navigate myself around very well however there were a few of us who got lost a few times!!

On the night time Celebrity put on a silent disco which was a big hit for young and old and it was also amusing watching people boogie to the same tune as you but not dancing the same.

Celebrity do accommodate for children as you can see and the kids seemed to enjoy themselves and there was a lot for them to do whether splashing in the pool, table tennis or going to the kids club.

All in all the two night were very special and with lovely friends on board and I will remember this for along time to come.
