Last weekend during our Christmas works cruise we were informed by the Captain that it hadn’t snowed in Amsterdam for over 25 years.  Typical as we were there on the weekend that the record was broken.  However the city was picturesque and very busy considering the snow.  What amazed me was that the transport was free flowing, people were even riding their bicycles.  Maybe Britain should take a leaf out of our European neighbours on how to deal with the winter weather!!
