What exactly do you receive with a drinks package? Is it worth it for you?
What is Included
With a beer costing around $7 and a Glass of Wine or a Cocktail $10-$12, on american lines, taking advantage of the Free Drinks Packages being offered at the moment can be so beneficial if you where to drink more than 3-4 a day but for people that don’t drink alcohol they often find themselves paying an inflated price for there cruise.

Without doubt I believe that cruise lines who have so called scratched gratuities and tips from cruises include them in the price of the cruise, which on some cruises have ballooned . I have always had the same concern whilst cruising, which is, PAY ALL STAFF A DECENT WAGE, and NOT rely on the passengers to make it up in tips. The crew work soooo hard making our cruise enjoyable and relaxing. On our recent cruise on Celebrity we went to reception and cancelled our automatic gratuities and tips, the first time we had done this, ever, this was because it was going to cost us over $203 for a weeks cruise. when we add the recommended gratuity of $90 for a two day journey on the Rocky Mountaineer things get very expensive. But that is my humble opinion.
