In Memory of Paul, R.I.P My Friend !

Gosh this is going to be a very hard blog for me to do this week – I am dedicating it to a very close friend of mine “Paul Brooks “.

In the very early hours of Monday morning one of my very good friends, sadly passed away. Paul had been diagnosed with Cancer back in 2014 and had been fighting a very long and courageous battle with this awful disease.

Paul never complained once during the last two years despite undergoing heroic surgery and debilitating treatment.  He was always full of spirit and determination. I have never met anyone that was always so positive it was astonishing, he always looked on the good side of life, he was so inspirational words just cannot explain. The things he had to deal with was so hard but he always smiled and said “ that’s life I’m here to enjoy and get on with it”.

I remember the day he called me, he had just been for his appointment at Christies Hospital in Manchester, he was really chirpy on the phone and then told me that they have said he had 3 months to live, I was devastated, but Paul being Paul was all up beat and said “ life is life and you’ll never get rid of me that fast “, Paul actually lasted another 10 months.

I have never met anybody with a bigger heart and who showed more loyalty to his friends than Paul and he leaves a massive big hole in people’s lives. Such a sad, sad loss to us all and especially to his family – words can never explain!

Paul, thank you for being in my life, what brilliant times we had, we partied hard and it was such a pleasure knowing you. You are a Legend, you will be deeply missed my friend.

Make sure you show them up there how to party my sweet, massive hugs my friend, I will miss you !
