P&O have also announced that they are going to increase their gratuities from 28th March 2013. They will be increased from £3.10 to £3.50 per person per day. For children under the age of 12 this charge in not applicable.
Your gratuities will be automatically added to your on board account at the beginning of your cruise. You can amend the amount you wish to pay OR you can actually opt out from paying pre-paid gratuities. All you need to do is, speak to the pursers office and ask them to take them off your on board account, then you can personally tip the staff that have given you an exceptional service. Your choice !!!
P&O new tipping amount will come into effect as of the following voyages:
Adonia: 03rd April 2013
Arcadia: 14th April 2013
Aurora: 24th April 2013
Azura: 04th April 2013
Oceana: 30th March 2013
Oriana: 28th March 2013
Ventura: 07th April 2013
I did say on my last blog that other cruiseliners may follow suit and it looks like this might be the start of an increase to pre-paid gratuities.
