Now this will be a white knuckle ride ……

Not sure how I personally feel about this… while I love cruising and I like Rollercoasters when I’ve finally got the courage to go on them in my older age after watching it 50 times or so !! The thought of both I am not so sure of?!

So Carnival Cruise lines have announced the launch of the first ever Roller-coaster at sea will be onboard their newest ship the Mardi Gras, she will arrive in 2020. The First ever at sea is surely going to turn a head or two and I guess other lines will follow suit in the future.

The Cruise Line has quoted & revealed it will be called BOLT – Ultimate Sea Coaster  “a heart-pounding rush of adrenaline offering nearly 800 feet of exhilarating twists, turns and drops with riders reaching speeds of nearly 40 miles per hour.”

The Seacoaster will consist of two riders who share a motorcycle type vehicle the track will be about 187ft above sea level, giving some breathtaking views. Riders will be able to control their own speeds. Riders can reach speeds of up to 40mph!!

The Carnival Mardi Gras due to launch in 2020 will be Carnivals Largest Liner, she will hold approximately 5200 passengers.

Following other Cruise Lines that are going greener, she will run on environmentally friendly fuel that produces nearly zero emissions. Another exciting and innovative ship to enter the Cruise Industry with an exciting new attraction of the Sea Coaster.
