APT – Beautiful Burma !!

sun-897x600We always make a ‘Welcome Home’ call to our clients when they get home but there is nothing better than making the call and the cruise experience has been amazing and has exceeded all expectations!

This was the case for my clients recently returned from APT Travelmarvel Majestic Burma Irawaddy River cruise

This itinerary is relatively new and popular dates sell out very quickly, my clients booked over a year ago they were looking forward to ‘immersing themselves in Burmese traditions, and discovering a culture that remains unchanged for centuries, discovering a land filled with ancient pagodas and golden religious stupas and cities built on the river’s edge.’

The itinerary includes 14 nights on board the luxury Princess Panhwa with pre / post cruise hotel options

Highlights include a visit to Mahamuni Buddha Temple and perhaps add a sheet of gold leaf to the statue of the Mahamuni Buddha

Go for a stroll along the famed U Bein Bridge near Amarapura

Ascend Singuttara Hill and visit the 99 metre-high Shwedagon Pagoda

They had an amazing holiday, Thai Airlines flights were excellent and APT did not disappoint with their arrangements, the beautiful hotel pre cruise and the Princess Panhwar ship was fantastic but don’t take this from me – there is nothing like a first hand review to get the real deal

Once isolated from the rest of the world, tourism is now encouraged in small groups allowing visitors to once again discover this beautifully preserved nation which was described by Rudyard Kipling as ‘quite unlike any land you know about’. -I think Burma is a destination to visit sooner rather than later – especially if you book by 30th April your companion flights free !!
