Goodbye 2017- Hello 2018

Well 2017 what a year it has been… I started working for cruise.co.uk in January after being with my last company for 18 years. I decided to take the plunge and work from home. I must say I’ve loved it, strange at first with only yourself In the office and no face to face contact with your customers. However I’ve met some really lovely customers over the phone and with the fantastic team we have here Its really helped me settle in.

We had a lovely trip in Feb to Alnmouth Northumberland, if you haven’t been to this part of the country it’s definitely worth a visit. With its long beaches, castles and quaint pubs for that lovely pub lunch.

In June we had a trip to Sorrento first time I’ve been to Italy and loved every minute, we visited Pompeii, Capri, Amalfi and Positano. It’s somewhere we will definitely re-visit.

September saw our cruise on Celebrity Equinox another 1st as I’ve never sailed with them before, however already re-booked for 2018. We had  hurricane Irma  right in our path, thankfully the captain kept us well out of her way and we had an amazing time. Visiting Islands we didn’t expect and missed a few that we will now have to do a return trip to take in.

Then October and Halloween saw the arrival of our first grandchild “Poppy”. This has to be one of the best experience’s of my life. In two months she has us wrapped around her little finger.

December we had our annual conference at Butlins and I had a great time meeting all the staff who you have only met a over the phone as most of us are home workers. We had a lot of Fun and learnt lots about new promotions from the cruise lines that attended.

So 2017 has been very eventful.. I would like to thank all my customer old and new for helping make 2017 a memorable one.

Happy New Year to you all where ever you may be I will be celebrating with my family in Alnwick..

What 2018 will bring who knows.. I look forward to helping make 2018 just as memorable for you all.

Thanks for reading

Lauren xx
