All about me……………………………

Thanks for taking the time to read my blog and check out my website. I thought rather than update about the latest cruise lines I would start the New Year with some facts and figures about me.

My real name is Julie, the Juliette thing was because at the time I started with the company there was another Julie and a Julia so I opted for the next best thing! Must admit quite like it now and rather prefer it to Julie, but I wont tell mum!

I am 47 years old live in sunny Wigan in Lancashire with my 22 year son Matt and my 2 Staffies Barney and Buddy who are both rescue dogs and my Bearded Dragon Elvis, recently

divorced in the last 2 years and adjusting to single life again, to be honest now enjoying the many benefits of single life.

I was the very proud owner of a lovely Villa in Calis Beach, Fethiye Turkey for the last 12 years, then decided to sell after my divorce, I have a real passion for Turkey, love the food, drink, hospitality, culture, variety of resorts & cities but most of all the people, so any spare time I get I find myself drawn back like a magnet. Here a few more reasons….

I started off as a very shy junior in Wigan as a cruise consultant in 1986 at John Earl Travel, this was the number 1 place to book your cruise back then, and I made a mean cup of tea for the first few months, along with stamping brochures and collect shopping for Mr Earl!

Then I went to an independent agent Hindley Travel for 2 years as a sales consultant and dealt with a range of holidays before I progressed to Assistant Manager at Lunn Poly with my red tank top and curly perm.

I quickly worked my way up to Branch Manager, which I held that position for many years, to then transfer to Branch Manager at First Choice, which I loved, was very proud to get both Manager & Shop the Year on a few occasions!

Then I discovered the joys of Homeworking for cruise.co.uk, nothing like rolling out of bed with your PJs on in winter and stepping  just one foot away into your office. I have the best boss in the world the lovely Cheryl Webb, who trusts us to work on our own initiative and has a relaxed style of management and encourages us rather than the tell culture I had been so used to at TUI, so for me this is a real pleasure to have a leader rather than a boss.

So my plan is now to continue working at home think I found my perfect job, would love to hear from you and help plan your trips to make memories.
