The Party Is Over for P&O…

It looks like the Party is going to be over for some P&O cruisers as the cruise line recently announced that they are making some drastic changes to their short cruises, mainly known as party cruises.

I’ve just been to beautiful Kos

Well, I am back in today after a lovely 11 days off on annual leave. I have had a few little things on this year but this time it was for my little family holiday to Kos in Greece with my partner and little boy where we had a week. We were all so excited as it was the first time on an abroad holiday with Leo (apart from a few days in Amsterdam last year) and Leo was most excited about going on a big aeroplane with a jet engine!

The Boy Turned 4!

This blog isn’t cruise related this time but more of a personal one. This weekend my little baby boy turned 4 years old! When you have a baby people constantly tell you how it will ‘go so fast’ and ‘they don’t stay tiny for long’ and you don’t really think about it at that time, but my goodness they were right! It only felt 5 minutes ago that Leo was a tiny golden haired baby (keeping mommy up all night) and now he is a funny, clever little 4yr old that never ceases to amaze me every day.

2019 comes early!

That’s right, 2019 is coming early this year as P&O and Cunard have announced they will be launching their Summer 2019 programmes earlier than normal and releasing them for sale this month! Historically the cruises are launched in March/April time for the following summer programmes, but last year and now this year they have mixed things up a bit to keep us all on our toes!

I need a holiday to recover from my holiday!

I have this week returned back to work after a week off with my partner and little boy. Everyone keeps asking me if I had a nice holiday and did I relax. I wish the answer was yes! As it happens we spent the week moving our little boy, Leo, into the bigger bedroom from the box room, and moving our dressing room into the box room. To be honest I had not anticipated just what a task this was going to be! The upstairs and Lounge of my house looked like a bomb had gone off for most part of the week as we had to remove all of the stuff from both rooms to paint them. Then we had the arduous task of building Leo’s new bunk beds – eeeek! ( always scary for moms) but we specifically choose these so he could have sleep overs with his cousins and friends. I was quite worried about his first night in a big boy bed but we needn’t have worried as he slept better than he did before! bonus!

New EU Regulations causing mayhem at airports?

With the summer holiday season well and truly underway, airports across the country will be seeing thousands of passengers pass through every day, jetting off to the warmer weather. But it seems its not all fun and excitement as due to new enforced EU regulations on tighter boarder checks, passengers around Europe and particularly the UK, are facing huge long delays and waiting times.

When in Rome….

Rome was my last port of call on my recent Azamara trip (back in April) and where we were disembarking to catch our return flight home. Having never been to Rome we decided to book a later flight at 5pm so we had a bit of time to explore the sights, and what a whirlwind trip it was!

Win the chance to name brand new P&O ship!

P&O have launched a competition to give you the chance to NAME their Brand New Ship! (and no, it can’t be Boaty Mcboat face!)

The new ship, which is set to lunch in 2020, is going to be Britain’s biggest cruise ship putting them back in the history books. They are claiming it to be the next generation of cruise ship and designed for the next generation of cruisers (whatever that means?) but we shall see. Coming in a whooping 180,000 tons dwarfing Royal Caribbeans, Independence of the Seas! It is going to have more dining options than ever on a P&O ship and more places to relax and be entertained.  Plus, it is going to be their most environmentally friendly ship yet, powered at sea and in port by liquefied natural gas which will help reduce exhaust emission significantly and help to protect and not destroy the environment. Bonus!

Sunny days in Devon…

My Partner an I decide to take a week off from it all last week and spend some quality time with our little boy, Leo, who is 3.5 years old. As we both work we don’t get huge amounts of time to spend with Leo so we were very much looking forward to it. We hadn’t booked anything and were just planning on some days out and a stay cation at home, however, once we heard the weatherman say it was going to be the hottest few days of the year so far we decided to book up a few days away! We managed to get a fab last minute deal to Devon in a luxury lodge with a hot tub. We booked it on the Friday and were off on the Monday.
