Its Been a while so sorry !!! Get the low down on MS Emily Bronte !!

Hello again, I wanted to start with an apology as I have not blogged for the last 5 weeks, Issues with my shoulder. But I am back now and rearing to go.

I want to tell you all about my visit to the MS Emily Bronte in Cologne in June. It seems so long ago but its still fresh in my mind . To be honest do not think I will forget for a long time. The flight out and the transfer ran really smoothly. We seemed to be at the ship in no time . As the water was really low we had a few steps to navigate to embark. but she really is beautiful and well worth the visit.

After we boarded , we had champagne and canopies, then off for a look round this beautiful new member to the fleet. The captain was going to sing us a song , but we had to keep moving. ( the entertainment is low key on a river cruise as you will be tired from seeing all the wonderful new ports every day. But they do have local regional singers on and have an in house pianist and karaoke in the piano wow!)

When you check in look down the corridor towards the cabins for a spectacular sight , simply breathtaking and polished from top to bottom everyday. There are 3 different types of cabin depending on which deck you are on.

The cabins on the lower deck (level with the river) have a long window at the top of the cabin and I have to say they were very spacious, bigger than an inside on a ocean cruise ship and because of the log window so bright and airy. They also have the french balcony cabins and then a few suites. For those travelling solo they have a few cabins that are single fare ( no supplement) on the ship too but the same size as the normal 2 berth cabins. You need to get booked early for these. Each cabin has its own coffee maker , Loved this little extra :

Then they have packs that charge in your room for the fabulous tours they provide in with the price so you dont miss any information as you tour those wonderful cities.

I have taken a couple of pics to let you see the size of the cabins but I think you will have to see for yourself as these pics do not do the cabins justice. (maybe need a wide angle lens Ha Ha !)

The bathrooms have really luxurious toiletries and the suites come with bathrobes.

Up on deck there are plenty of sun beds a Jacuzzi and a miniature golf green.

I will cover the food next time because wow is all I can say.

I hoped you enjoyed our little tour. I have to give a big shout out to the crew , they were so welcoming to us all.

Check out the link to those all important offers with Riviera Travel, amazing prices for such a lot of value. The drinks prices were good to.
