Insurance Do NOT Forget It !!!!

Insurance ! Why bother? I always take insurance when I go on holiday, Please do not forget it, or think you can travel without it. A lot of cruise companies will not let you travel without it. There is a reason for this, It can be a life changing bill otherwise, and imagine having to put a massive hospital bill on your credit card. some hospitals will not treat you until they know who is paying the bill. Getting sick while on holiday can be traumatic enough , but when you have no insurance it can become a nightmare. 

If you have studied up on me you will know I repped for Thomas Cook abroad and had to deal with clients who got ill or worse sudden deaths abroad. Not a nice subject I know but it happens and can you imagine getting a bill for £7000 just to take your loved one home after they have passed away. Not only do you need to make sure you have insurance but that you are up front and honest when declaring medical issues.

This happened to a customer of mine whilst on holiday in Spain. Not only did she have the tragedy to deal with , but her insurance was not informed that the gentleman had had a heart attack 5 years previous, and of course as this was the nature of his death they would not pay out to have him repatriated to the UK.  My friend also broke her ankle whilst on holiday and the operation alone cost £6000, can you imagine if they have to fly you off a ship !
