At last, after debating whether we would enjoy a cruise or not. Having my daughter Jodie as a cruise consultant, we decided to book on Queen Victoria.

The deciding point was, the cruise was starting  in Barcelona were we have both wanted to visit and see the marvellous Sagrada Familia.

Independance of the Seas mini cruise!

The last time I stepped aboard Independance of the Seas was in 2008 when she was brand new and I was invited to Southampton for a guided tour on board. She was the first cruise ship I’d been on and I remember feeling absolutely blown away at how beautiful she was!

Bruges on a budget!

Last weekend myself and my family enjoyed a 3 night weekend  break on Royal Caribbean’s Independance of the Seas. I will tell you about that next time . This time I thought I’d share a tip on  seeing Bruges from Zeebrugge which was one of our stops on our 3 nighter.

MSC Preziosa!

I love my ship visits in Southampton and this time it was to see MSC’s Preziosa. This is the 3rd in the Fantasia class ship I’ve seen this year, first was Splendida, then Fantasia. All three are very similiar with only slight differences. These are big ships, 139.000 tons and hold 4,300 guests.

The Day arrived!!

Well the day I’d been waiting for all year finally arrived ! 23rd August – my 50th birthday! Quite a milestone for me as I  was dreading it more than 40!  I had always planned to be abroad in the sunshine for this celebration and booked this holiday a while ago so I knew I would have it to look forward to.

Britannia – At last!

I already feel like I know this ship so well as I’ve made so many bookings on her!  I was intrigued to see Britannia as I receive a lot of different feed back from my customers, some good some bad. This has been in my diary for months and I was feeling very excited on my journey down to Southampton yesterday. As usual I was accompanied by my colleague Edward who has already sailed on Britannia on a 2 night mini break.

I love a good wedding!

I love a good wedding and haven’t been to a family wedding for a long time!  Last year my youngest cousin James announced his wedding date for the 5th August 2017 . The ceremony was to be in Knaresborough , North Yorkshire with the reception a little place called Killinghall near Harrogate. I was so excited for the weekend as not only do I get to see my lovely cousin marry the gorgeous Emily, I also get to go back to my roots and see all the family!

The most Luxurious ship ever built and I’ve been on board!

Regent seven seas explorer! What a great honour to have been invited on board to look around and have lunch. I was so excited about this visit and all I can say is WOW!! I hope I’ve managed to capture her beauty in my pictures!

A new favourite ship!

What a privilege to be invited on a tour and lunch on-board Oceania’s Marina . I was very excited about this as Oceania are a  premium luxury cruise line and I knew Marina would offer something very special.  Just 6 years old and one of two of Oceania’s largest ships but only 1250passengers she is small considering some other ships I’ve been on which hold over 4,000 passengers!
