LET US SWAY

A new documentary on T.V. starts this week on Tuesday night its called THE CRUISE a life at sea. It will follow the work of an Anglican Chaplin, the Reverend Colin Still who joined the Fred Olsen ship Balmoral in January of this year as she embarked on her 112 day World Cruise sailing from Southampton.

It is a 6 part series following the reverend as he gives advise, support and solace to this floating “Parish at sea” as the ship calls into 33 destinations and in 20 countries. Along the way he filmed conducting services, renewing wedding vows, escorting shore tours, giving spiritual advise and guiding guests and crew, whatever their religion.

The reverend is quoted as saying “I enjoy building a bond with passengers and crew on the long voyage, and I particularly enjoyed the marriage renewal ceremonies, as they are such happy occasions”. Well forgive me for being cynical but i can think of a lot of my clients who wouldn’t be too impressed with this. A world cruise is something that is not cheap and maybe considered by some ” A free ride” !
