Norwegian Cruise Line is investing £275 million to improve facilities at its 250 – acre private island of Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas. The work is expected to be complete by next summer 2017, and will include a twin 1000 ft zip wire and an underwater sculpture garden for all of the snorkelling enthuasists so they will have a brilliant time exploring.
Guests from the Haven and suite class of accommodation on Norwegian ships will be provided with an exclusive lagoon retreat complete with a Mandara Spa (whats one of those you ask?) Well Mandara Spa is at Park Plaza on Westminster Bridge and London is the first Mandara Spa in the UK and Europe. Comes complete with a lovely Ocean View restaurant.
Elsewhere on the Island will be a land shark Bar & Grill created in partnership with Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville.
Ships which will be visiting Great Stirrup Cay will include Norwegian Epic, on her seven night cruises from Port Canaveral and Norwegian Star, which will be doing 3 and 4 night durations.
The island looks stunning and well worth a visit.
