The port of Tyne will be Fred Olsen Cruise Lines flagship Balmoral’s homeport in 2016, offering passengers 12 sailings through the season to destinations including Spitsbergen in northernmost Norway.
Cruise & Maritime Voyages will also be operating 10 cruises out of the port including flagship Magellan sailing to Iceland and the Orkney Islands. In all, the port expects 39 cruise ship calls.
So who else will be there?
How brilliant to have some really good ships up north for a change…..big, exciting, luxury and child friendly ones.
So who else is really pleased to hear about this? I know I am that’s for sure, and I know a lot of people face a long drive down to Southampton, so it will Make a lovely change so lets hope it is successful.
