Back From Explorer

DSC_2012Myself and husband have just returned from our holiday this year on Explorer of the sea’s with Royal Caribbean – It is our first holiday with Royal Caribbean and whilst on board we joined their loyality club CROWN & ANCHOR. When you sail with them you do not automatically become a member, it is something you have to apply for so we did, hopefully various benefits will come our way. There will be lots to report back to you about from our trip Ship, Staff, Cabin, Tours etc etc. After 14 day’s we have some good and not so good things to mention.

My new bed companion……

We went  down to Southampton with Eavesway from Leicestershire and it rained all the way down, but it was really easy and comfortable and cost wise the same as driving and parking ourselves.

Once on board we went straight to our cabin E3 Balcony 8618 and with a lovely view – perfect!

My new companion has decided to hang around for a while, every day the cabin steward tried to think of something new for him……

Time for some lunch next and we headed for the Windjammer up on deck 11 – the selection in the self service restaurant  was fantastic, I had heard various reports about the food in the buffet, saying it was small and not very much to choose from  but all was dismissed very quickly by us, the day we joined on Sunday it was the “theme” UK surprise surprise and each day they chose a different Country.

Then off to our muster station for the drill and wait for our bags……….

Explorer of the sea – I took this when we were in Corsica – here is the itinerary we took

If you want any info on Royal Caribbean just let me know – more updates next week.
