What kind of cruise Booker are you ?

So its now only 29 days until My holiday to Cape Verde with my family and i have been counting down the days for months, in fact i have been counting down the days since September last year, which i would say makes me a kind of early Booker but definitely not the earliest of Booker’s.

I have been asked many times, so whens the best time to book ? My answer is there is not a best time.

Super early Booker’s usually book their cruise at least a year to a year and a half in advance, some people even book 2 years in advance. These customers like to benefit from the early booking discounts and quite often past passengers get extra discounts, some people just like to be organised and plan ahead. These customers can be quiet specific of where they want there cabin etc so getting in there early is the best way to secure everything what you want.

The on-board Booker books their next cruise while they are actually on-board their current cruise, Once on-board, the Future Cruise Consultant is available to book your next cruise and provide you with valuable incentives for booking on-board. Some cruisers may think they are just trying to ‘strike while the iron is hot’ as you are already relaxed and having a great time. However, they would never pressure you into the office  to book a cruise on-board; you are able to take advantage at your discretion. Plus, most of the promotional offers are hard to beat. You can also tell the consultant on-board that you would like your consultant at cruise.co.uk to take care of you booking, this means you still get the on-board booking benefits and can still deal with your consultant here at cruise.co.uk which is ideal if you have any questions etc. You do not have to actually book your next cruise on-board, you can put down what is called a future cruise deposit. Every cruise lines terms and conditions are different but most of the time just by paying $100 deposit you can be given on-board credit to spend while you are on your current cruise, this would help with that trip to the Spa that you were in desperate need of after a long day walking around Rome.

The late Booker – I always tend to think of late Booker’s as bargain hunters, the customers wanting the best prices with the most value for money. I will let you in on a secret, most  cruise lines summer capacity is almost completely full. If you are a late Booker then be prepared to not get everything that you want. I hate when i have 1 cabin left and i tell customers this, they go away for a day to think and when they come back to book its gone. You need to be prepared to say yes to that deal straight away, hanging around only makes it harder for yourself. The late Booker isn’t always a bargain hunter, sometimes people just take a look at the rubbish British weather and think, i need a cruise ASAP !! Some people have commitments that they just physically cant book until last minute. Some of the late offers that i have seen recently have been fantastic but again please be prepared to take it !!!
