P&O To Follow The Crowd

With most other cruise lines offering All Inclusive drinks packages, P&O have decided to follow the crowd and trial an Ultimate Drinks Package. Currently, P&O don’t offer a package which includes a wide range of drinks for a set price, at the moment you can buy drinks in bulk for a discounted price but with All Inclusive becoming a cruise must for passengers I think its about time P&O got the ball rolling with the all-inclusive option.

They will begin the one month trial on the 21st July 2018 onboard the Azura, after the trial P&O will then review and come to a decision on whether this is something they should implement for the future, potentially 2019 onwards. The package can only be booked on board and not via your cruise personaliser.

So what does the package include?

• Beers, cocktails, single measure spirits & wines by the glass up to the Value of £6.95 as listed on the Menus
• Unlimited draft soft drinks, mocktails, primo costa coffees, teapigs teas, hot chocolate and 500ml bottled water

what about the kids?

If you are traveling with children under the age of 16 they will have the children’s drinks package included at no extra cost.

How much does this package cost?

The Ultimate Drinks Package will cost £39.95 per person per day.

There’s always restrictions!!

• The drinks package will only be available for purchases on sailings of 5 nights or more.
• All adults sharing the same cabin must purchase the package which is strictly non-refundable.
• Alcoholic drinks are limited to 15 per 24 hour period (6am-6am) and you can only order 1 drink per person and must wait 15 minutes before ordering your next.
• You must be over 18 to consume alcohol(21 in USA waters)

I think this will be welcomed by regular P&O customers. Of course, everyone doesn’t drink the same amounts and if you have cruised in the past with P&O you will know yourself what your bar bill normally accumulates to. This is probably good news for alcohol drinkers, say you do enjoy 15 Mojitos at £6.15 per drink then you would save £52.30 per day !!! now I don’t know anything who can drink 15 Mojitos but you never know!
