No baby’s allowed !!

Going on your first family cruise could be daunting and imagine arriving on the ship where you will be spending your next 14 nights to find out that your child who isn’t toilet trained can not use any of the swimming pools on board !!

Why you ask ? Due to public health regulations, children in nappies, pull-up nappies (including “swim-safe” varieties), or who are not fully toilet trained are not allowed in the pools or whirlpools this is due to cruise lines not having the same sanitation’s as a land based swimming pools. some cruise lines like Royal Caribbean have a baby splash zone which is free for children to use, toilet trained or not but not all cruise ships have this so if taking your little one into the pool for a splash about is a part of your holiday then be careful who you cruise with.

I will be totally honest and admit i didn’t actually know this until recently so i would have 100% went on a cruise if i had a baby none of the wiser with their little swimming costumes and arm bands at the ready. I did read online from cruisers that they have taken a small inflatable pool for their baby and just filled up with the outdoor shower water and then put down the drain once finished for the day, baby’s need to stay nice a cool too right ??

Now i can guarantee that some naughty child hasn’t listened to their parents and urinated in the pool because they cant be bothered to stop having fun for a few minutes now i know this because my son years ago never asked to go to the toilet during the day by the pool and when we took him he never needed….. i wonder where he done it ??

Whats your thoughts on this ??
