How utterly devastating and terrifying

So in the last week the Caribbean and Florida had been preparing themselves for Hurricane Irma. My Cousin who is in Orlando on holiday at the moment said it was crazy, the supermarkets were almost emptied of stock but as long as they had their Cheese puffs and bottle of Gin they would be fine. She was keeping me updated sending me videos and pictures of Irma in action and its like nothing i have seen before.

The cruise industry dodged a bullet Sunday when Hurricane Irma came ashore along the west coast of Florida. If Irma had came just 100 miles to the east it could have put the storm in line to devastate the world’s three biggest cruise hubs — Port Miami, Fort Lauderdale’s Port Everglades and Port Canaveral. Although Florida may have escaped the devastation ports such as St Maarten & St Thomas may not see a cruise ship visit for a while after what the locals can only describe as catastrophic damage. Already, Norwegian Cruise Line has announced it is replacing all Eastern Caribbean sailings with Western Caribbean sailings through at least November. I already have customers who are due to visit the Caribbean calling me to check what the situation will be but i know just as much as they do at the moment so hang tight folks i will let you know if anything changes, the damage is still been assessed.

I always say that i would love to live in the Caribbean or the USA and constantly complain about the weather here in Scotland, but when i see what these poor people have to go through, loosing loved ones and all there possessions including their home makes me never want to leave my little country that gets 2 inches of snow and the whole town comes to a standstill and the council go into panic mode.

Were you in the Caribbean or Florida to experience Irma? i would love to hear about your experience.
