Fantastic entertainment has always been a trademark of cruising, and the theatres and cinemas that show the films are just as important as the films themselves.
Not many cruise ships have their own cinemas, but all four of the Disney Cruise Line ships have their own Buena Vista theatre. Carnival Cruise Line’s newest Carnival Vista with the first IMAX cinema at sea. British Cruise lines haven’t forgotten either , There is a cinema on Arcadia, Aurora and Oriana. Azura has an outdoor cinema SeaScreen.
My two boys favourite has to be with Princess Cruises, doesn’t matter if its cold up on deck, they wrap up in blankets. If you do fancy just a quite night in , in your cabin, there are movies on the TV for you to enjoy in the comfort and privacy of your cabin. You will of course find details in your cabin and/or on the daily newspaper produced by your cruise line. There’s so much going on in life, its sometimes nice to slow the pace and put on a film, at home or at sea.
My last experience of this was onboard Caribbean Princess in the Norwegian Fjords, which was a funny as the film didnt finish until nearly midnight and it was only just getting dark! Kids loved it though.
If you’re looking for a ship with cinema let me know, i’ll be happy to check.
