MSC launch new ship – but will the food be Magnifica?

There is much excitement and anticipation building up in the office as quite a number of our newer Sales Staff prepare to attend the launch of the Magnifica in Southampton on Saturday. It’s always great to see a new ship, and the cruise lines always pull out all the stops for us, as after all, it will be us selling the cruises for them so they need to impress us!

I have no doubt that my colleagues will be impressed with the ship, MSC cruises never disappoint in that department, the decor is always stunning, facilities fantastic, accommodation great. However, what I am really keen to hear about on their return is the food. For those of you who have been following my blog for a while you will know that my big gripe with MSC is the food. It just isn’t up to the mark, and can be at best described as adequate. This just isn’t good enough as seasoned cruisers will know that one of the highlights of any cruise is the food – well it is for me! I really believe that this is something that MSC need to focus on, although we have previously been told that they have – to no avail in my opinion.

I’m really hoping that when I ask the question on Monday morning my colleagues will tell me that they were blown away by the food, that MSC have ‘upped the anti’, but I’m not holding my breathe. I’ll keep you posted.
