ESTA Forms to be made compulsory

Starting 20th January 2010, all British passport holders entering the United States of America will need to get approval in advance from the Electronic System for Travel Authorisation.

Although the ESTAs were introduced last January, they will become compulsory from next week.
The ESTA form, which can only be completed on line, takes about five minutes to fill in and is completely free of charge. Beware of sites that charge £49.00 for this service – you don’t have to pay. I’ve filled in several for clients and it really is very simple.  If I can do it then anyone can!
This form replaces the ‘Green Waiver’ Form that we all used to fill in on the aircraft when flying to the States so there is no longer any need to do that.
Also worth pointing out – you need to complete this on line application at least 72 hours before you travel, so don’t leave it until the last minute. If you need any help with this, please send me an email,or call me on 0800 408 6084 (in UK only).
