Dubai – an amazing place and an absolute ‘must do’…………..

I’m finally back after almost three weeks away from the office, and what an amazing time I’ve had! The highlight has been my trip to Dubai courtesy of Dubai Tourist board, Etihad, Virgin Atlantic and Royal Caribbean.
Before I left I was very sceptical as I had heard mixed reports but I can honestly say that I was blown away by the place. It is absolutely stunning!

Of course we were lucky enough to stay at Atlantis, The Palm and the Westin, and we visited many other top class hotels for lunch and dinner too. We went up to ‘the top’ of Burj Khalifa, went on a desert safari, and swam with dolphins too. We also had lunch on the Brilliance of the Seas which was top class – you can never have too many Creme Brulee in my opinion :). Whilst on the ship we were lucky enough to be invited to the bridge – a first for me, and facinating it was too.
The Brilliance does seven night sailings in and out of Dubai, and I would strongly recommend adding on a post-cruise stay in the city or Jumeirah areas – both are incredible. Forget anything you have heard – Dubai is one of the cleanest places I have been in my life, there is zero crime there, and the Emiratees are the most welcoming people you could wish to meet.
