My 60th Birthday Celebrations!

I cant quite believe it myself, and had to get verification from my mum, but yes, its true, I turn 60 years old this week!

So what to do about it? Drown my sorrows and take up Indoor Bowls?  (Not that there’s anything wrong with that sport, but not yet, not for me anyway….)

Do I begrudgingly accept I am nearer to retirement age and eligible for a Bus Pass? Never!

This week I have the family staying with me here in Spain, to help me celebrate my 60^th birthday.  Spending precious time with family, as we all know is a blessing, and the greatest gift of all.  So we have an action packed week planned, with plenty of time to relax on the beach, with a few cocktails watching the beautiful sunset.  Making a few more precious memories.

I am still and will continue to be thirsty for new adventures and challenges, new horizons to explore, new sights to see!   So later in the year we’re Stateside, doing the Pacific Coastal Highway in a Red Convertible Mustang!

We’re flying to San Francisco, I haven’t been there since 1976 so really looking forward to spending a few days exploring this wonderful city.  Alcatraz & a Bay cruise are booked.  Then off to Yosemite for a couple of nights taking in the wonderful scenery.

Making our way along the Big Sur, Monterrey & Carmel, down to Pismo Beach before heading into Los Angeles for a few nights to do the ‘Tourist trail’ before driving through Death Valley to Las Vegas!

We’ll be taking in a traditional Las Vegas show, with showgirls and feathers! And the best thing for me, an exhilarating helicopter ride to see Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon!

More about my trip later, but in the meantime, I’m going to enjoy spending time with my close friends and family, after all, age is just a number!
