What Are Your Plans For 2019?

Idiotic question I know since we have barely settled into 2017.

But this is the crazy world of cruising, and this is being emphasized by cruising powerhouse P&O Cruises.

I know we Brits love queuing but getting in line to book a holiday that is two years away is just madness right? Or is it……..

I single out P&O because they are probably the most famous of all the cruise lines (along with Cunard) for putting together the much revered ‘Full World Cruise’

A behemoth of a voyage spanning between 3 and 4 months! Completing a complete circumnavigation of the globe, whilst stopping off at some of the most iconic destinations on the planet.

World Map

But is it really that popular?

Well, in a word, yes.

The 2019 World Cruise will be on sale in the next few weeks and quite honestly, it’s a good idea to get your name down!

This is the sort of voyage that people save up for half their lives, perhaps for retirement, or a 60th / 70th birthday. Or maybe it’s just been a lifelong dream. Let’s face it, a world cruise is surely the pinnacle of travel?

I already have a world cruise fund for when I retire in about 30 odd years!!

But is it too early in this uncertain world to book a holiday, costing that much, this far ahead? Is it practical? It’s a tough question, and this is the reason for my blog today.

You are the cruisers, you are the ones who ultimately say yes or no to booking.

Are P&O making the right decision opening this up so far in advance? Are they just coming across as money grabbing?

So many questions and so many answers so I would love to hear your thoughts?

Thanks for reading, and as always, until next time……….
