Well Done P&O Cruises!

My blog this week is inspired by some absolutely brilliant feedback I’ve had from several of my customers on the back of their recent returns from P&O Cruises sailings.

Last year I was getting a little bit of negativity in general about certain ships and sailings, which concerned me a lot going into 2018.

However since the beginning of the year, I have contacted many of my returning P&O guests and I’m so pleased to report that all of them seem to have had absolutely brilliant cruises.

Britannia, Azura & Ventura have all exceeded guests expectations, so much so that they have either booked again whilst on aboard, or booked almost immediately as they arrived home! What more can I say other than well done & thank you P&O Cruises for giving my customers such great cruises!

Personally I’m a big fan of the brand, having sailed previously on Ventura twice, and having a short break on Britannia. I like the feel, the design, and the overall British-ness of the product.

It’s great also to see Britannia finally making her mark.

It’s fair to say she had her fair share of critics early on, and perhaps due to her being released slightly too early, had a bit of a shaky start to life as the brands new flagship.

But over the last couple of years, her reputation has grown and grown, and, as I predicted just after the ships release, she now seems to be the leading ship in terms of customer satisfaction.

Having become a parent recently, ships like Britannia and Azura are all the more attractive to me on account of their facilities and ability to cater for all ages, and with a little bit of persuasion to the wife, I’m hopefully that we can take a P&O Cruise aboard one of the larger ships in 2019 or 2020. We just want to wait until our little boy can grasp the concept of cruising a little more, since it’s effectively the industry that has played such a big part in both mine and his mum’s life for so many years. I think if you can remember your first cruise, it’s all the more special!

What’s also been great, inline with P&O’s ship feedback, is the glowing comments about the Caribbean itineraries they have been running.

It’s a well oiled machine that P&O operate, with their regional flights, auto luggage transfer, e-ticket system etc all very simple, but I was a little worried that a few islands had been omitted and replaced by others in the wake of the terrible hurricane that devastated parts of the Caribbean last year. However, the destinations have gone down a storm (is that a terrible pun – yikes), and my customers have loved the sandy beaches and chilled out personality of the places that P&O has delivered.

So once again a big pat on the back P&O, you have had a great start to 2018 as far as I’m concerned, and now have 2019 and 2020 to look ahead to, so keep up the great work and I hope to see you on a ship soon!

Thanks for reading and as always, until next time…
